Hello! I love pretty, colorful new things. Below are a few of my recent favs, of which I bought both sets of green earrings on sale on HauteLook for only $28 reduced from $100. How fabulous is that sequined chevron pillow? The mirror and clutch I absolutely adore, however I’m not quite sure I’m willing to drop $1,900 on a mirror – but, do I hear a DIY project????…I think I do. Anyways, with so much house drama going on (check out the latest update below) I felt like I needed to add some colorful fun to my life! What do you love most from this collection of pretty goodies?

If you have scrolled down this far – you are probably wondering what is going on now with the new place. It should be simple right, we close, we pack and we move in. Well the latest and greatest after going back and forth on the floor is –  we decided to go ahead and get the floors stained. We just got back in town last night and we went to check out the place (we were scheduled to move in and finally unpack and not live like complete and utter gypsies today) and lo and behold, they used the wrong stain. Now this wasn’t like a shade off, it was basically special walnut instead of Jacobean. If you just googled what that means you feel my pain. Tomorrow I will be meeting with the contractor after buying a can of the right stain to show him that he did in fact use the wrong stain, (in the second bedroom that has yet to be touched) since he is trying to convince me that Jacobean always looks this way when applied.
