Welcome to A Pura Vida!
I started this blog as a place to channel my visual creativity. Pura means ‘pure’ and ‘vida’ means life, which put together translates to Pure life. I found this saying inspiring and thought what better name than A Pura Vida for this blog spot.
So if you have ventured over to this area on my blog, you are probably curious about who I am. Well thank you for stopping by and I hope the tidbits about me and my mood board provide insight into who A Pura Vida is!
I absolutely love Chanel Coco Mademoiselle – it’s my favorite scent and my lovely sister is the one who introduced me to it
My favorite soft drink is diet coke – heart-man complains that I ruin date nights when I order a glass of this poison
Burt’s Bees lip balm is my best friend – I’ve tried many different lip balms and this is my all-time fav!
I am a Brit, and grew up in the fabulous city of London, and now live in an equally fabulous city – NYC
The best treat I can give myself is a red velvet cupcake from Sprinkles – no other cupcake can live up to this goodness.
I’m ever so slightly obsessed with the chevron print – hence my blog background
I will wear my havaianas black flip flops at any given chance, over heels and flats!! (they are so comfortable)
I love chocolate, but my all-time favorite type is ferrero rocher – I can literally polish off a pack of 12 in 10 minutes flat!
My husband bought me a David Yurman cable bracelet for the first birthday we celebrated together when we were dating, and I absolutely love it!
My favorite Essie nail color is Mademoiselle (how fitting that this is also the same name as the perfume I adore).
I absolutely love my engagement ring, so much that after nearly 2 years of being married I still have not bought a wedding band (I think it takes away from the simplicity of the single solitaire)
I love drinking vitamin water – I know I should probably just be drinking standard water!
I typically do not wear much make-up, but when I do – eye liner and blush are always my standard.
My favorite accessory in the fall is my animal print scarf from Zara – I love pairing this with a black blazer!
